T&S Research Coalition

We created the Trust & Safety Research Coalition to bridge gaps between industry researchers, academic researchers, the trust and safety professional community, the technology industry, civil society, and other public interest groups.

Today, the Coalition consists of a Steering Committee and three Research Committees.

Global Majority Research Committee (GMRC): The GMRC aims to foster a more equitable and effective T&S ecosystem by elevating the expertise and inclusion of Majority World voices in product design, policy development and organizational practices. It connects T&S practitioners, researchers, and multidisciplinary scholars to collectively learn about and advocate for the Majority World. Psychological Health Research Committee (PHRC):The PHRC aims to collaborate, support, and produce evidence-based research that contributes to increasing the knowledge base of how graphic and objectionable content impacts moderators, with the goal of developing safe and effective practices to protect content moderators’ psychological health and well-being.
